Here is the Day One itinerary and climb profile. I love the cheerful description of the 10 - 14% climb.... Yellow is 8 - 10%, red 10%+.
May 25, Chambéry; Mont du Chat warm up loop (70 km, 1826 m)
Mont du Chat, Col de l’Epine
We meet at Geneva airport (Switzerland) and transfer by van to Chambéry (France).
After building your bikes we embark on a 70 km warm up ride that is hard and beautiful.
From Chambery to the base of Mont du Chat, you ride on a bike path, while the small road up the Mountain
is very quiet and steep, leading through forests with some great views of the lake. Once you reach the forest,
the climb stays between 10% & 14% for all of the remaining 7 kilometers.
Through rolling hills dotted with blooming fruit trees and sleepy hamlets you reach the second, smaller
climb up the Col de l’Epine.
Surely you are back in Chambery in time to see the old town and one of the best bike shops in the region.
